A big 'Nay' for Alia Bhatt's latest fashion outing
Alia Bhatt walked the ramp for Caprese on August 13 in Prabal Gurung dress from his Spring 2018 collection. The red metallic asymmetric dress featured flutter sleeves, a waist cut out and thigh-high ruffled slit. She styled it with clear PVC sandals, which was perhaps the only good thing about the look.
The dress failed to impress for more reasons than one. It didn't actually compliment Alia's body as it was clearly made for someone taller. The cut-outs just didn't sit on her body. The material of the dress gave it a very fluid silhoutte, which should have ideally looked good, but it ended up looking more like a plastic jelly.
And, the worst part is that it cost Alia a whopping Rs 75,000! It was so not worth all that money.
Here's a look at all the things Alia's dress reminded us of -
1. Alia Bhatt in Prabal Gurung
We loved Alia Bhatt's nude make-up, thigh-high slit and sexy back cut-out but overall it just didn't work.
2. A fiery red dragon
The flutter sleeves and the colour instantly reminded us of a dragon. The resemblance is just too hard to miss.
3. A Cellophane roll
This one clearly doesn't need any explanation.
4. A Polythene bag
Polythene bags have been banned in Mumbai but Prabal Gurung clearly seems to be unaware.
5. A tarpaulin sheet
Sorry Alia, but your dress could have been of better use somewhere else.
