Centre head of NIEM Pune, Karna Upadhyay said, “The idea behind organising the inter-college Mr and Ms University is to embody the spirit of educated youth and stress on the determination to achieve. The youth period is when most models, stars and celebrities are being sculptured. Our intention is to catch them young.”

He further informed that the NIEM Mr & Ms University beauty pageant is only one of its kind in the country, especially organised for students.

The three-day beauty pageant festival was a national finale followed after similar beauty contests held across the cities — Mumbai Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Kolkata and Pune.
