Over 35,000 ICSE students get their results today

The Std X and XII students who appeared for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination (ICSE) are keeping their fingers crossed as they await the results to be declared at 3pm on Wednesday. To their relief, they would not have to scramble for
them unlike previous years.

In an effort to ease traffic on their website, the ICSE board has tied up with www.myschool.in, a private web portal, for the schools to declare results.

There are 1,567 ICSE schools in the country and 98 of them are in Maharashtra. The city has 35,000 students under the board who will be affected by the results. The exam was conducted in March across 32 schools in Mumbai, its suburbs and Navi Mumbai.

“Since this is our school’s first batch to attempt ISC (Std XII), we are hoping for good results. I want to show my existing students and parents that continuing in the same board after Std X will not affect their performance in entrance tests for professional courses,” said Seema Buch, principal of Gundecha Education Academy, Kandivli.

Earlier in a notice, the Delhi board had instructed that the students can access their results in the internet via three web portals and also through text messages.

“Every year, due to heavy traffic load, the server crashes and students have to get their results from the school. It is nice that we have three websites this year to access the results,” said Kinjal Shah, a student from Beacon High School, Khar.

The results of ICS-2010 and ISC-2010 examinations will be made available through text messaging. The candidates can view their individual results by keying in their index number and sending it to 56388/524524/56263/51818.
