HSC results: Surat registers 73.23 pass percentage

Class XII science stream results were declared on Thursday by GHSEB. The result in Surat stood at 73.23%. Nineteen students made it to the city's merit list, of which nine were from PP Savani High School. Surat city registered 73.70% result. Samrudhidhi Rangrez from Experimental school was the topper in the city along with Rini Patel of St. Xaviers. Second position was shared by Jaimin Patel of PP Savani and Bhumi Patel from Bhulkabhavan school. Radhika Goti and Mehul Lukhi, both from PP Savani came third. PP Savani High School of Surat repeated history, with nine of its students getting into the top-ten merit list. The rankers gave the credit for their success to the school and its method of teaching.

"When students clear class XI exams, we run special classes for them during summer vacation and Diwali vacation. Apart from weekly tests for all subjects, our teachers take additional classes after school. To benefit students, we conduct seminars and knowledge exchange programme every month," Bhupat Solanki, in-charge principal of PP Savani School, said.

Other than PP Savani School, three students of Bhulkabhawan school, two students each from St Xaviers and IN Tekrawala and one student from Experimental school and Vidyakunj high school, appeared in the city top-ten list. One student of Vasishtha Vidhyalay in Kamrej also got into the merit list.

The results at various centers in Surat were also declared by GHSEB. In Surat city, the Surat centre's was 73.55%. Result of other three centres in the city namely Varachha, Rander and Nanpura were 80.39%, 69.32% 71.6% respectively. The aggregate result of all the four centres was 73.70%. While in Surat district, result at Kamrej centre was 89.09%, while result at Vyara and Bardoli was 61.56% and 67.27% respectively. Aggregate result of Surat city and district was 73.23%.
