De-stressing session for HBK board examinees

With board exams knocking on the doors, city students are reeling under the pressure of expectations from parents, teachers and the society. And often, fear of faced with failure forces them to take extreme steps.

Today the need of the hour is to keep them stress free. This was what experts at the yoga and motivation session organised at the HB Kapadia school, on Sunday, said unanimously. The event aimed at helping students of class X and XII cope with their examination pressures.

Besides alumni, the school invited students and teachers of other schools such as St Kabir, New Tulip, Lotus School and students of Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad to interact with the students.

Dhruv Dhanda, one of the IIM-A students said that parents should not pressurise students and allow them to study in their own convenient way. "Each student has his own strength and weaknesses. Making mistakes is human, so parents should not worry too much."

Mohit Thakkar, a class XII (Science) student of HB Kapadia, said that the guidance and experience shared at the session will help the students in coping with the exam pressure.

“Students need to plan so they could not be overburdened,” said Thakkar.

The school management also organised a yoga session by yogacharya Birju Acharya and Dr Punita Acharya besides a motivational speech by public motivator Maulin Pandya and Muktak Kapadia, the managing trustee of HB Kapadia New High School.
