10 pharma companies to scout for talent at GTU job fair

In what comes as a silver lining on dark recessionary clouds, 10 pharmaceutical companies will offer jobs to 730 pharmacy students at Gujarat Technological University's (GTU) job fair to be held on Thursday.

These pharma majors include Zydus Cadila, Alpine Health and Claris Lifesciences among others. Companies are expected to recruit graduate and post-graduate pharmacy students from the varsity.

According to GTU officials, around 1,500 students from various colleges from the university have registered for the fair. These interested students were scrutinised by participating recruiters who shortlisted 730 of them for interviews on Thursday.

Officials said that these companies will offer jobs like as medical representatives, entry-level chemists, technical supervisors, and in fields such as manufacturing analysis, quality assurance, quality control and regulatory affairs.

"The companies have offered annual packages ranging from Rs84,000 to Rs2 lakh. Selected candidates can be posted in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Jaipur, Bangalore, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and other locations," said a GTU official.
