The way to make new year resolutions work

New year's eve comes with a charmingly cool climate, setting the tone for a party environment all over the world. We start January 1 armed with a set of brand new resolutions.

A resolution is nothing more than a wish. It may be of two types; doing something new like saving money or getting up early in the morning or conversely chucking bad habits like smoking or procrastination. You wish to lose extra weight; you wish to learn new things.

An important fact about resolution is that it does not need to be declared at the stroke of midnight nor on new year's day. Many of us cannot continue our commitments towards honouring our resolutions for more than one or two months. It needs perfect planning and willpower to do it.

Most of the time we advise our friends to change their habits without thinking that maybe we should change our habits first. A good way to ensure that we follow our resolutions could be to allow our best friends would take their resolution and each of them can admonish each other for breaking their resolutions.

As a popular song goes "Give me some sunshine, give me some rain, give me another chance, I wanna grow up once again...!" new year is the correct time to grow up once again because it is a new beginning. It is like a book with blank pages. You just have to fill it with good deeds, new aims, goals and wishes as it is a fresh opportunity.

Don't you think friends that resolutions should not be just on a new year or a new month but every day you should aim high, wish anew and make a resolution that you will do achieve something significant.
