Russia-Ukraine War: Zelenskyy vows to defend Ukrainians in occupied regions after 'sham' vote

Russia has claimed to win four 'referendums' in occupied Ukrainian regions, a victory which Moscow may use as grounds to annex more territory. While Russia may have claimed victory in the mentioned referendums, Ukraine and its allies, like the US and Europe have condemned this referendum as illegitimate and a sham.
