A news report in the Daily Times has also claimed that necrophilia cases are through the roof in Pakistan. News agency ANI also reported the same. However, it is now revealed that this claim is fake and the image of the grave is from Hyderabad, India, not Pakistan. Many fact check websites also reported the same.

On further investigation, it is revealed that the image is from a cemetery in Hyderabad which is located opposite Masjid E Salar Mulk, a mosque in Darab Jung Colony, Madannapet.

The misleading news reports were based on a tweet by Harris Sultan, an ex-Muslim atheist activist and the author of the book "The Curse of God, why I left Islam". He had blamed hardline Islamist ideology for such depraved acts.

"Pakistan has created such a horny, sexually frustrated society that people are now putting padlocks on the graves of their daughters to prevent them from getting raped. When you link the burqa with rape, it follows you to the grave," Sultan tweeted on Wednesday, ANI reported.
