Shivam Verma

Delhi’s Lotus Temple is renowned for its unique lotus flower-inspired design.

It serves as a Bahá'í House of Worship, emphasising unity and the equality of all religions, welcoming people of all faiths for meditation and prayer.

The temple was designed by Iranian architect Fariborz Sahba and took approximately ten years to construct.

Situated in Kalkaji, New Delhi, it is easily accessible and a popular landmark in the capital city.

The lotus flower symbolises purity, peace, and the manifestation of God. The temple's design reflects the Bahá'í belief in the oneness of humanity.

The Lotus Temple in Delhi is owned and operated by the Bahá'í community.
