This African country has 98% Muslim population

There are around 1.9 billion Muslims globally, with the largest Muslim communities living in the Asia-Pacific region.

Islam is the major religion in many African countries, especially in the north of the continent.

As of 2023, in Niger, Mauritania, Tunisia, Somalia, Western Sahara, Algeria, and Morocco, most of the people are Muslims.

According to Statista, as of 2019, 16 per cent of the Muslims worldwide lived in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Meanwhile, in Niger, around 98 per cent of the population here is Muslim.

According to Pew Research, the population of Muslims in Niger is expected to grow by 2030.
