US space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has shared stunning ‘Astronomy Pictures of the Day’.

Here are some stunning starry photos captured by NASA.

This image is of Great Carina Nebulla, which is one of Galaxy’s largest star-forming regions. Spanning over 300 light years, this nebula is surrounded by interstellar gas and cosmic dust clouds.

This image, captured by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, shows that a NGC 7714 galaxy distorted due to a collision with neighbouring galaxy.

This image is of a star exploding in the constellation Vela, about 11000 years ago.

The image represents a Seagull Nebula created from an expansive region filled with gas and dust. Interestingly, it resembles a bird's head.

This image of a supernova remnant Simeis 147 shows the filamentary nebula called the Spaghetti Nebula.

This is a stunning image of Tarantula Nebula, also known as 30 Doradus. This giant star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud is more than a thousand light years in diameter.

This image is of a globular star cluster, also known as  NGC 2139. The star cluster is packed with about 10 million stars older than the sun, about 15000 light years away from Earth.
