7 IITians who chose spirituality

Gauranga Das: Gauranga Das attended IIT Bombay from 1989 to 1993 to finish his BTech in Metallurgical Engineering. In 1993, he joined ISKCON as a monk.

Swami Mukundananda: Swamy completed his BTech at IIT Delhi and his postgraduate degree at IIM Calcutta.

Rasanath Das: After earning his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, Rasanath Das went on to IIT to finish his graduate studies.

Radheshyam Das: A 1997 graduate of IIT Bombay, he has been heading a spiritual growth centre.

Acharya Prashant: An IIT alumnus, he quit his engineering career to give talks on dharma and spirituality.

Khurshed Batliwala: After earning his master's degree from IIT Bombay, he uses his knowledge to organise uplifting and spiritual events.

Sanket Parekh: Sanket Parekh graduated from IIT Bombay with a degree in chemical engineering. He left his plans to become a Jain monk and intended to enrol in a post-graduate programme in the United States. 

Aviral Jain: After graduating from IIT BHU, Aviral Jain decided to become a monk rather than pursue a career in computer engineering.
