From determining atmospheric composition of planets around other stars to discovering dark energy, Hubble Space Telescope has changed humanity's understanding of universe.

This image shows the jewel-bright spiral galaxy NGC 4689, which lies 54 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Coma Berenices.

This shows the brilliant light of two quasars residing in the cores of two galaxies that are in the chaotic process of merging.

This shows a distant galaxy with an active quasar at its center. A quasar emits exceptionally large amounts of energy generated by a supermassive black hole fueled by infalling matter.

This bird’s-eye view of a portion of the Andromeda galaxy (M31) is the sharpest large composite image ever taken of our galactic next-door neighbour.

The image depicts a neutron star (RX J0806.4-4123) with a disk of warm dust that produces an infrared signature.
