Pavan Naidu

Practicing yoga offers numerous benefits for the mind and body. One of the major benefits you get from practicing yoga is its ability to improve lung capacity.

By including these asanas into your yoga routine, you can strengthen your respiratory health and enhance your lung function.

Pranayama (Breath Control): Begin by sitting in a comfortable position and taking slow, deep breaths. Inhale deeply through your nose, allowing your abdomen to expand. Exhale slowly through your mouth, emptying your lungs completely. Repeat this exercise for several minutes to increase lung capacity.

Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose): Lie on your stomach with your palms placed on the floor next to your shoulders. Inhale and slowly lift your upper body, arching your back and keeping your pelvis grounded. Hold this pose for a few breaths, then exhale and release.

Anulom Vilom (Alternate Nostril Breathing): Sit in a comfortable position and place your left hand on your left knee. Use your right hand to close your right nostril with your thumb. Inhale deeply through your left nostril, then close it with your ring finger. Open your right nostril and exhale. Repeat this process, alternating nostrils.

Ustrasana (Camel Pose): Kneel on the floor with your knees hip-width apart. Place your hands on your lower back for support. Inhale and lift your chest, arching your back and looking up. Hold this pose for a few breaths, then exhale and release.

Kapalabhati (Skull Shining Breath): Sit in a comfortable position and take a deep breath in. Exhale forcefully through your nose, contracting your abdominal muscles. Inhale passively, allowing your abdomen to expand. Repeat this process rapidly, focusing on the exhale.
