Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is the fourth AAP member and fifth opposition leader to be incarcerated in Tihar Jail amid rising political tensions ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

Arvind Kejriwal is set to be in jail until April 15 and the ED, which has custody since his arrest on March 21, is investigating his involvement in an alleged scam.

He will be in Tihar's Jail No. 2 alongside his ex-deputy, Manish Sisodia, former Health Minister Satyendar Jain, and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh.

Mr. Kejriwal and other prisoners will start their days at 6:30 am, with tea and bread as their breakfast.

After breakfast, Mr Kejriwal plans to leave for court if a hearing is scheduled or meet with his legal team after a morning shower.

After his planned meeting, Lunch will be served to him between 10:30 and 11 am, and consists of a dal, a sabzi, and five rotis or rice.

After having lunch, Kejriwal and other prisoners are held in their cells from noon to 3 pm, receive a cup of tea and two biscuits at 3:30 pm, and meet their lawyers at 4 pm.

After all the planned schedule, Arvind Kejriwal will be served an early dinner near 8:30; the course will be the same as lunch. After that, prisoners will be locked up for bedtime by 7 p.m.
