Ekta Kapoor excitedly shared the poster of M.O.M - Mission Over Mars on her Twitter handle, but was rather trolled for using the wrong airplane in the poster. The poster, which ideally should have used PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) rocket C25, just has a Russian Soyuz launch vehicle superimposed on the Indian flag. On noticing so, Twitterati did not spare the makers for their 'goof-up'.

The makers have now come up with an explanation around why they used the wrong rocket on the poster. They reveal that the show had to remain a fictional adaptation due to various reasons, and hence, the makers have taken the cinematic liberty.

Here's the statement provided by the makers:

“Our upcoming show is a fictional adaptation of the real life heroes at ISRO who worked on Mangalyaan and set a major milestone putting India firmly on the global map. However, as a strategic call taken by multiple parties, we have gone down the fiction route for this show. Additionally, we are legally bound not to use actual names or images of either the people, objects or agencies involved. Keeping in mind our contractual obligations, publicity material of the show was designed.”

Co-incidentally not only Ekta Kapoor's M.O.M - Mission Over Mars, Akshay Kumar too is featuring in a movie based on the same project. That movie, titled Mission Mangal, directed by Jagan Shakti, also features Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menon, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles.
