'Bhajan samraat' and 'Bigg Boss 12' contestant Anup Jalota's (65) affair with his 29-year-old 'student' Jasleen Matharu not just came as a shock to his fellow inmates but also to the nation at large.

They claim to be dating each other for over three years but their age gap and apparent lack of chemistry has made them a soft target inside the house. 

Recently while choosing beds, Jasleen opted for a single bed beside Dipika Kakar's bed. When Anup tried to take a bed next to her, she told him that it's already occupied. Anup's reply to this was, "Toh main dur hogaya, hum khule main soenge." Jasleen was quick to respond. "Aap ek kaam karo, wait karo, apko partner mil jaega koi (Do one thing, wait! You'll get a partner)," she said while pointing towards all the double beds. This left everyone in splits.

On being asked to react on his daughter's alleged relationship with Anup Jalota, her father, Kesar Matharu told News18, "I am not at all disturbed by the online bashing. She is a trained singer and had done various stage shows with many popular Bollywood singers. We belong to a very reputed family and my daughter is already a prominent figure in the industry and there is no point of seeking cheap publicity."

"This news was a shocker for me as well as for my family. However, I don’t want to comment anything on her personal life till I meet her. She is on the Bigg Boss 12 house and want her to stay positive and emerge as the winner of the show," he added.
