OnePlus X is invite-free in India starting February 5

OnePlus today announced that their latest release, the OnePlus X, will finally go invite-free starting February 5. Starting midnight tonight, you can log on to Amazon.in to buy the device for yourself, without the pesky invite requirement. OnePlus had made a similar announcement last week, saying the OnePlus X was going invite-free on the global market, and that India would follow soon. The company had reiterated that the invite system was a crucial mechanic from the get-go, letting them build a steady operational rhythm while gauging the demand and supply capability for their devices. Since their first launch, the OnePlus One, each device has been taken to invite-free at a progressively quicker rate. The invite-free purchase of the OnePlus X is applicable to the Onyx and Champagne colour variants priced at Rs 16,999, as well as the Ceramic edition, available for Rs 22,999.
