The Indus Sher was impressive for their in-ring prowess as well as appearance. But, who really are Indus Sher, the tag team duo who have got India talking? This is the story of Indus Sher, the tag team duo who have excelled in sports and Bollywood. The duo's original names are Rinku Singh and Saurav Gurjar. Saurav Gurjarwas a former national champion in kickboxing and has played sports like wrestling, basketball and boxing. Rinku Singh, on the other hand, has had success in baseball in a very unlikely way.

Rinku Singh, who originally hailed from Bhadohi, participated in a contest called 'million dollar arm' and he made his foray into US baseball, playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates. While Rinku Singh achieved sporting fame, Saurav Gurjar earned his mark on TV by being part of shows like ‘Mahabharat’ and ‘Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman’.  Saurav Gurjar will also make his Bollywood debut in Bhramastra in 2021. The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Nagarjuna.

A common goal for India

When they started out in the WWE in 2017, they would be incredibly nervous to perform in front of thousands. In one of the interviews, the duo stated that they wanted to showcase the Indian culture through them and that they wanted to portray the character of a warrior.

When they won their match against Bollywood Boyz and shared the ring with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, Indus Sher could not contain the excitement when they said, "It was an honor to share the ring with Drew McIntyre, the WWE champion. We have known Drew for a long time. Knowing how incredible a human being he is and to be with him for the match was an incredible experience."
