Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has offered the management job to Jose Mourinho, the post currently held by under-pressure Rafa Benitez.
According to mirror.co.uk, even though Jose left Real Madrid amid controversy two-and-a-half years ago, Perez still remains a fan and would like Mourinho to take charge as soon as possible.
The same report says that Mourinho has been approached by Real Madrid agents and an offer has been made.
This move has turned up the heat for Manchester United and Louis Van Gaal who are going through some serious trouble at the Old Trafford.
To get Mourinho, who if we believe the reports, is already keen on joining the Red Devils, Manchester United has to move quickly.
After being sacked by Chelsea, Mourinho had made remarks about staying in England. No offer has been made from the teams in the English Premiere League so far. This could force Mourinho to consider the job at Real Madrid.
Will Ed Woodward be able to do some magic like he did with De Gea to get Mourinho to clean up the mess Van Gaal has made of Manchester United? Or will Mourinho give a second chance to Real Madrid?
