Tripathi won the Man of the Match award but it was the response of Bollywood Superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan that is winning the Internet. On his Twitter handle, Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his team’s win and he captioned it in style by stating, “We were a few runs short, but the bowling made up for it at the end. Well played boys of @KKRiders. And have to mention our @ImRTripathi  ‘Naam toh suna tha....kaam usse bhi kamaal hai’ Be healthy all of you and rest well. @Bazmccullum, will see u soon.”

Shah Rukh Khan has often played the role of Rahul in many Bollywood films including in hit films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Chennai Express, Darr and Dil toh Pagal hain. In some of the films, there was his iconic dialogue which was, “Rahul, naam toh suna hi hoga (Rahul, you must have heard this name)”.

Even when Kolkata Knight Riders’ official Twitter handle paid tribute to Rahul Tripathi with the caption “Jiss film mein Rahul ho, woh superhit hi hoti hai!”,  Shah Rukh Khan retweeted it and said absolutely.

Tripathi the star

Rahul Tripathi won the Man of the Match and it reaffirmed his success as an opener, having shone in the role during his stint with Rising Pune Supergiant in IPL 2017 under the guidance of MS Dhoni. Tripathi added that performing in front of Shah Rukh Khan was a dream.

“Something like a dream come true for me. Was prepared for both the roles. Thought the ball was coming nicely, so I thought we should keep up the scoreboard which is why those shots came out, nothing special. It's a journey. Have loved this journey. Coming to KKR is special. Performing in front of Shahrukh sir is very special. It's a dream come true,” Tripathi said.
