UN Biodiversity Summit: India to restore 26mn hectares of deforested land by 2030, says Javadekar

While addressing at the UN Biodiversity Summit on October 01, Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar spoke about land-degradation. Javadekar said 'India aims to restore 26 million hectares of degraded and deforested land, and achieve land-degradation neutrality by 2030.' 'This is a target which shows our ambition,' he added.
