Floating corpses: Samples from river Ganga sent for COVID testing

After bodies were found floating in Ganga, samples from river were collected and sent for testing to check COVID-19 contamination in water, informed Bihar State Pollution Board scientist. 'Central team collected samples from river Ganga on June 1 in Buxar & on June 5 in Patna, Bhojpur and Saran to check whether bodies reportedly seen in & around the river contaminated river water. Samples sent to Lucknow. Report awaited,' said Scientist, Bihar State Pollution Board.
