COVID-19 outbreak: Temples remain shut on 2nd day of ‘Chaitra Navratri’ amid India lockdown

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown in the entire country. Delhi’s Chhatarpur Temple remained closed on March 26 for devotees amid lockdown on second day of ‘Chaitra Navratri’. Similar situation was seen at Jhandewalan Mandir in the national capital. The temple authorities have also put a notice board stating the temples will be closed to deal with the spread of coronavirus. On the other side, famous Mumba Devi Temple of Mumbai is also closed due to lockdown.
