It is expected to inform the voter of the vision it holds for the country at large In a multi-party developing democracy like India there are complex issues involved since language, culture and even food habits can change every few kilometers Sadly, political parties tend to concentrate more on populist, emotive and sectarian issues rather than the real problems. They also tend to release their manifestoes very late in the day giving little time to voters to go through it and decide.
