Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sadhvi Prachi on Wednesday was barred from entering the Birsara village by the Uttar Pradesh Police, for meeting the families who have been 'falsely accused' of being involved in the Dadri lynching case.

Sadhvi Prachi was detained by police outside Dadri village. "Section 144 was imposed yesterday, and also day before. Even if they let me go alone that is okay," Sadhvi Prachi told reporters ahead of her visit to the village.

"I am going to meet the family of the person who was tortured so much, that he committed suicide, she added.
