COVID-19 cases are rapidly increasing once again and many states have imposed strict safety guidelines yet again to contain the infection.

While the Maharashtra government has imposed lockdown or a night curfew in many districts, strictness has been increased in Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Puducherry. New guidelines have been implemented in these states.

Here is a lit of restrictions imposed in various states:

Maharashtra 

-Exams for class 10th and 12th will be conducted offline although no change has been made to the schedule of the examinations

-All religious, social, cultural, and political gatherings have been banned and weddings can have only a maximum of 50 people while funerals can have a maximum of 20 people.

-Nagpur will be in lockdown till 21. Only shops dealing with essential commodities, except medical shops, can remain open till 1 PM.

-Night curfew in Pune from 11 PM to 6 AM. Bars, hotels, theatres, and malls will remain shut from 10 PM to 6 AM, whereas gardens will be closed in the evening.

-Strict COVID-19 restrictions in place in Parbhani, Aurangabad, Nanded, Osmanabad, Palghar, Thane, Nashik, and Jalgaon.

Punjab

-All educational institutions except medical and nursingcolleges will be closed till March 31.

-Cinema halls will operate at 50% capacity.

-Not more than 100 persons will be allowed in a mall at any time.

-A night curfew has been announced in the 11 worst-hit districts of Punjab from 9 pm to 5 am.

-Industrial and essential services will continue to operate. 

Madhya Pradesh 

-A one-day lockdown will be imposed on Sunday, March 21 in Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur.

-This lockdown will start from 10 am on Saturday night till 6 am on Monday.

-All schools and colleges in these three cities will remain closed till March 31. 

-The markets in Gwalior, Ujjain, Ratlam, Burhanpur, Chhindwara, Betul, Khargone will be closed till 10 pm.

Gujarat

-Night curfew has been imposed in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot from 10 pm to 6 am. The restrictions will be in place till March 31.

-The school in which 5 or more cases have been found, it has been decided to keep them closed immediately.

-Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation ordered the closure of shops after 10 pm in eight wards until further orders.

-Restaurants, malls, showrooms, pan shops, clubs, tea stalls, hair salons will be closed after 10 pm in eight wards of Ahmedabad.

-Shopping malls have also been ordered to be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Tamil Nadu

-The chief secretary ordered the violators of Covid protocols be find under the Public health act.

-Resumption of temperature screening and availability of sanitiser be ensured at all workplaces, factories and hotels. 

Karnataka

-Karnataka has made the COVID-19 negative certificate mandatory for people from Kerala to cross the border.

Delhi

-Schools up to class 8 will remain closed.

-All Delhi Govt hospitals will hereby operate vaccination sites in their premises till atleast 9 pm, said Delhi Health minster Satyendar Jain.

Puducherry

-All schools up to class 8 will remain closed from March 22 to March 31.
