Photos: Indian jeweller makes ring with 12,638 diamonds, finds place in Guinness World Records

A 25-year-old jeweller based in Meerut has created a diamond-shaped diamond ring that has found a place in the Guinness World Records.

Named The Marigold - The Ring of Prosperity, the ring has over 12,000 diamonds and weighs about 165 grams (5.8 ounces). The manufacturer of the ring says that there is no intention of selling it.

The creator, Harshit Bansal, worked for nearly two years on the ring. In a statement, Harshit's company Renani Jewels has said in its statement that the ring has eight layers in its floral design, with each small petal being the most distinct.

This ring has been included in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the ring with the maximum number of diamonds. The jeweler has put 12,638 diamonds in it.

Even before the formation of 'Marigold', India had the world record for making the ring with most diamonds and it had 7,801 small diamonds.

Harshit Bansal's company Renani Jewels has said in its statement that the ring has eight layers in its floral design, with each small petal being the most distinct.

Harshit said that this ring can be worn easily and it is also very comfortable.

This ring with 12,638 diamonds has been made by 25-year-old Harshit Bansal, who hails from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He has prepared this flower-shaped diamond ring after nearly 2 years of hard work.

Harshit Bansal has said that the idea of making this ring came to him when he was studying to jewellery design in Surat, Gujarat.

Harshit says that this ring is priceless for him and he is proud to make it. Describing it as his dream project, Harshit said that while making it, he had plans to put 10,000 diamonds in the ring, but when he designed it, the number of diamonds increased to 12,638.

Harshit says that he had made many designs to make this ring, but that did not work and finally finalized this design.
