Navratri 2018: 9 colours to wear on each day of the festival for luck, wealth and prosperity

This year, the Sharadiya or Sharad Navratri would commence on October 10th and would last until October 18th, followed by Vijaydashami on October 19th. In the following 9 days of Navratri, the worshiping of the nine forms of Goddess Durga- Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandharghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidathri must be adhered as per the divine law mentioned in sacred scriptures.

October 10: This year the first day of Navratri is dedicated to the worshiping of Maa Shailputri and Maa Brahmacharini. On this day, she must be adorned with royal blue colored clothes, yellow flowers and basil leaves.

October 11: The second day of Navratri is dedicated to the worshiping of Maa Chandraghanta. On this day, wear yellow colour clothes while worshipping Goddess Durga.  During puja use yellow colored flowers for better results.

October 12: The third day of Navratri is dedicated to the worshiping of Maa Kushmanda. Green is the colour of the day. From clothes you wear to flowers and decoration, keep everything green. 

October 13: The fourth day of Navratri is dedicated to the worshiping of Maa Skandmata. On this day, she must be adorned with grey colored clothes and white flowers.

October 14th:  The fifthe day of Navrati is Panchami. On this day Saraswati Awahan is done. Wear Orange colour clothes to impress Goddess Durga. 

Ocotber 15th: The sixth day of Navratri is dedicated to the worshiping of Maa Katyayani. On this day, she must be adorned with white colored clothes. While doing puja wear white clothes and offer white flowers.

Octber 16th: The seventh day Navratri is dedicated to the worshiping of Maa Kaalratri. Red is the colour of the day. Wear red while worshpping Maa Kaalratri to get blessings. 

October 17th: This day of Navratri is dedicated to the worshiping of Maa Mahagauri. On this day, worship Maa Durga wearing with sky blue colored clothes and flowers.

October 18th: The ninth day of Navratri is dedicated to the worshiping of Maa Siddhidatri. On this day, worship Maa Durga wearing pink colored clothes and offer pink flowers.
