The makers of superstar Rajinikanth’s 165th film unveiled the title and first motion poster on Friday evening. The Karthik Subbaraj directorial has been titled 'Petta'. Until today, the film was being referred to as 'Thalaivar165'. The vibrant motion poster features a stylish Rajini entering a church with a candle stand as a weapon of choice. The veteran looks handsome in a muffler, jacket, reflectors and stubble.

'Petta' features a dream cast including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi, Simran, Trisha, Bobby Simhaa, Sananth Reddy and Megha Akash. Anirudh Ravichander has given the film's music. 

This is the first time when Sethupathi, Siddiqui, Simran, Trisha, Subbaraj and Ravichander will be sharing screen space with Rajinikanth. The film also marks Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Tamil debut.The actor will reportedly essay the role of Rajinikanth's arch rival in the film.

The shooting for 'Petta' began in June in Dehradun, and is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures.
