A post about IAS officer Awanish Sharan has gone viral on social media, it is his academic performance in school and college that claims that Awanish got poor marks in his classes 10 and 12.

In the post, it is mentioned that Awanish had scored 44.5 per cent marks in class 10 and 65 per cent marks in class 12. He scored 60.7 per cent marks in graduation and later after a lot of strength of positivity, hard work and dedication he became an IAS officer.

After that post went viral, Awanish started receiving a lot of messages and letters about his marks and certain complaints as well. He decided to address that problem through a tweet. He wrote, "This post about my academic performance on social media is going viral. Hundreds of messages are coming to me to know its truth. Yes, my marks in school/college came like this, but it should not be used as an excuse for not studying and low grades.

Addressing the complaints Awanish wrote, "I had to write this post under compulsion. Many parents/teachers complain to me that children have stopped studying diligently. The logic of the children is that what is the benefit of studying now, they will study further. Some children have even started saying that to become an IAS, it is necessary to have a low number in school/college."

Awanish Sharan belonged to the Chhattishgarh cadre of IAS officers from 2009. His followers often consult him regarding studies.
