On 'The Grade Cricketer' podcast during the first phase of the suspended 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson talked about not bowling to Virat Kohli with the Dukes ball in the nets of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Now, a month and a half later, both players are playing for their national teams against each other and the tall pacer has got better of his RCB skipper by getting him trapped in front of the wickets.

New Zealand's best bowler in the World Test Championship (WTC) final so far, Jamieson kept it tight and in the channel of uncertainty and adjusted his length to a fuller one to bring LBW into consideration and he reaped the benefits of it straightaway.

Kohli, who was trying to shuffle every ball was set up beautifully by the 6'8" pacer as he bowled three balls in the outside-off channel and followed it up with one angling in and it came in sharply. Kohli missed getting the bat on it and was rapped in front as he couldn't add anything to his overnight score of 44.

As soon as Kohli fell to Jamieson, as expected 'cancel his RCB contract' jokes started appearing on Twitter. Many fans suggested Virat Kohli would be feeling like beating Jamieson, while many said that Jamieson shouldn't be seen anywhere near the RCB side.
