Team India didn't have a great start in the morning session of the third day in the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand at the Hampshire Bowl in Southampton as they lost the big wicket of skipper Virat Kohli in just the third over of the day.
Kohli, who was the best batsman on the show for the Indian team was foxed by his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Kyle Jamieson, who trapped him in front of the wickets and India lost their fourth wicket at the score of 149. The match started after a delay of half an hour due to wet outfield because of the rains overnight and in the morning on Sunday.
New Zealand's best bowler in the match so far Jamieson kept it tight and in the channel of uncertainty and adjusted his length to a fuller one to bring LBW into consideration and he reaped the benefits of it straightaway.
Kohli, who was trying to shuffle every ball was set up beautifully by the 6'8" pacer as he bowled three balls in the outside-off channel and followed it up with one angling in and it came in sharply. Kohli missed getting the bat on it and was rapped in front as he couldn't add anything to his overnight score of 44.
This was Jamieson's second wicket after he broke India's opening partnership getting Rohit Sharma out.
