The batsmen are already out there, and the fielders are taking their positions.

Rahane is closing to score a century while Rohit is aiming a double.

11th Test hundred for Ajinkya Rahane!!!!!

This man has waited too long and he does get the ton in style.

Up goes the bat! He absorbed the pressure, and counterattacked, putting the pressure back on the Proteas.

A tap on the head to a length ball into the off-side, 139.5km/h, a bit of a misfield by the fielder at cover-point and they've run across for a single to get to the milestone.

Ajinkya Rahane:

- 11th Test hundred

- 4th at home; first since October 2016

- 3rd vs South Africa

Seventh individual hundred in the series for India - most for India in a series against SA surpassing six in the home series in 2009/10.

And with a run, Rohit comes down the track to bring up a century and a half!

He raises his bat to the dressing room, to acknowledge his third 150+ score in his Test career.

Rohit Sharma:

- first opener to hit two 150+ scores in a series against SA

- eighth player overall

- first Indian

- first since Michael Clarke in 2012/13

Its Linde first Test dismissal and he sends Rahane back for 115.

Rahane doesn't step out, stays back deep in the crease crouching instead of trying a late dab of sorts.

He nicks and Klaasen has his first Test dismissal.

Rahane c Klaasen b George Linde 115(192) [4s-17 6s-1]

Rohit Sharma scored his maiden Test double ton. Reaches there with a maximum. Got to century with a six yesterday and does the same today.

However, soon Rabada gets the big man.

Rabada is pumped but his mates are heaving a huge sigh of relief.

Rohit picks out a fine leg to perfection, but it's a short ball that brings about his downfall.

Rohit c Lungi Ngidi b Rabada 212(255) [4s-28 6s-6]

Clean Bowled!! Superb delivery from Linde.

The arm-ball drifts in with the angle, Saha prods forward and plays for the turn, outside the line and is beaten on the inside edge.

The ball goes on to hit top of off and middle.

W Saha b George Linde 24(42) [4s-3]

Fifty for Jadeja. The sword celebration is out. He also puts his sword back into its safe. Kohli also mimicking him from the dressing room.

However, in the very next ball, Jadeja walks out. He knew he had edged it and decided to walk before the umpire could raise his finger.

Jadeja c Klaasen b George Linde 51(119) [4s-4]

Ashwin got Stumped!!

Klaasen was very quick to catch Ashwin short of the crease. Piedt has a wicket to his name.

Ashwin st Klaasen b D Piedt 14(16) [4s-1]

As for Umesh Yadav, he was on fire.

Linde looks relieved. He was almost praying for Klaasen to hang on to the skier. Dragged the length back smartly and hence Umesh could not get underneath the slog sweep, the top-edge goes straight up over the 'keeper, Klaasen turns and runs back to take a good catch.

U Yadav c Klaasen b George Linde 31(10) [6s-5]

South Africa called for a helmet to place a fielder at short leg but Kohli took that opportunity to call his players in. It will also be tea.

'Elgar fails to evade the delivery as he tried to leave it. Gloves it faintly off the left thumb and the keeper does the rest.

The umpire also picked the edge and raised his finger.

The exact start India were expecting.

Elgar c W Saha b Shami 0(2)

First with the bat and now with the ball, Umesh Yadav is on fire.

Umesh Yadav produces a jaffa and de Kock has edged it to the keeper.

That was banged in short, down the leg, de Kock was hopping up and just could not get his top glove out of the way.

Two wickets in two overs for India. Two short balls, two wickets for India.

de Kock c W Saha b U Yadav 4(6) [4s-1]

Play interrupted due to bad light. The Proteas may be relieved as they have been a hot mess.

Thankfully, there is no rain so there is still hope of the play resuming.

Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav have taken one wicket each and have put SA in a tight spot.

South Africa have reached 9 for 2 in reply to India’s 497/9 declared.
