Coming in to bat in the 12th over, Christian gave a much-needed impetus to Sixers' innings, which was tottering at 58-3 in the 12th over.

Christian went hell for leather from the first ball itself and bulldozed the Strikers away in those 20-25 minutes of display of explosive batting.

Christian targeted the X-factor sub, Liam Scott, who came in to bowl the 13th over of the innings. Scott kept bowling short and Christian kept pulling it away on the leg side. He hit three sixes and a four to accumulate 22 runs off that over.

But, this was just the start to what was to come. In the next over of the leg-spinner Rashid Khan, Christian smashed a couple of sixes over deep mid-wicket and backward square leg.

Sixers then took the Power Surge witnessing Christian seeing the ball like a football. Christian smashed three fours in a row to blaze away to a well-compiled fifty in just 15 balls. His effort was the second-fastest fifty in the history of BBL just behind Chris Gayle's 12-baller.

His counter-attack meant the Sixers reach a competitive total of 177, when at one stage it looked like they could end up with a low to middlish total of 130-140.

Strikers too came out all guns blazing but Christian gave the breakthrough with the ball as well. Sixers then kept chipping away at the wickets as the men in blue couldn't pose a challenge to Sixers' score for much longer.

Sixers now have won two back-to-back games as they reached third position on the table behind Hobrt Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars.
