Rohan Talwar, an alleged drug peddler who was arrested in Mumbai in connection with a drug case, tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday. Talwar has been admitted to JJ Hospital.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had detained Talwar for his alleged involvement in supplying drugs in Mumbai.

Earlier, a member of the NCB Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing a drug case related to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput`s death, had tested positive for COVID-19.

The NCB had arrested six more drug peddlers on Friday. They had also recovered a total quantity of 1.433 kg of drugs like charas and ganja after carrying out raids in posh areas of Mumbai`s Powai and Andheri suburbs, besides Thane.

The agency has been investigating a drug angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. They had previously interrogated and arrested drug peddlers, along with actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager Samuel Miranda, and main help Dipesh Sawant.

They had arrested 16 people from Mumbai and Goa. The agency also found links between drugs and Bollywood.
