NCB has found big drug links between Mumbai, Goa and Bollywood
The Narcotics Control Bureau have been investigating a drug angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. They had previously interrogated and arrested drug peddlers, along with actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager Samuel Miranda, and main help Dipesh Sawant.
Currently, the agency has arrested 16 people, out of who six will be presented before court soon. The 16 people are arrested from Mumbai and from Goa. NCB has also found links between drugs and Bollywood.
1. Six arrested to be presented in court
Six people who have been arrested will be presented at a special court in Mumbai with NCB present. Among them, five drug peddlers were arrested from Mumbai and one was arrested from Goa. Karamjeet, Dwayne Fernandes and Ankush are a few of them.
2. Previous arrests
NCB had arrested Karan Arora, Abbas, Zaid Vilatra and Abdul Basit Parihar. This was followed by Rhea's brother Showik and Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda's arrest. When interrogated, Kaizen Ibrahim's name came forth.
3. Karamjeet, Anuj Keshwani, Chris Costa, Dwayne's name comes up
After arresting Kaizen, Karamjit's name came up, after which he was arrested on Sunday. Karamjeet's name came up in Showik's whatsapp chat from October 10, 2019. Showik at referred Karamjeet's name to his friends for drugs.
Another name that came up while talking to Ibrahim was Anuj Keshwani. He was caught with heavy drugs in Khar, Mumbai, on September 6. Chris Costa's name also came up. He is from Goa, and had supplied LSD to Anuj.
Dwayne, who supplied drugs to Showik and Dipesh Sawant, was also arrested by the NCB.
4. Bollywood and drug connection
Karamjit, also known as KJ, had supplied drugs to Sushant's former staff Samuel Miranda. He had supplied drugs to the actor nearly 10 times through Dipesh and Samuel.
5. Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, other names revealed
After reportedly accepted her role in procuring drugs for Sushant and handling the finances, Rhea also named Rakul Preet Singh, designer Simone Khambatta, Sushant's friend and former manager Rohini Iyer, and the actor's 'Dil Bechara' director Mukesh Chhabra.
According to sources, Rhea also told NCB that 80 percent of Bollywood stars are on drugs. After her statement, the agency decided to investigate a video posted by Karan Johar in 2019, in which known Bollywood celebs, including actor Vicky Kaushal, were accused of consuming drugs. While there were reports that the NCB is also likely to summon 25 prominent Bollywood stars in the matter soon, they have denied the same.
6. ZEE News video stops Rhea Chakraborty's bail
Rhea Chakraborty did not get bail on Friday after Zee News leaked a video of her taking drugs with actor Sushant Singh Rajput and their group.
7. Rhea Chakrbaorty opposed drugs, what changed?
On November 2009, Rhea had tweeted, "I read a strange horror story of an Indian girl who has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison for trafficking drugs." The tweet was addressed to an Indian girl who was sentenced to prison due to drug smuggling.
Co-incidentally that is exactly what has happened today, and netizens pointed out the same.
