After videos from AR Rahman’s Chennai concert went viral, social media users took to Twitter and slammed the organisers. They even called AR Rahman’s team ‘fraud’ after ‘women molested, children injured’ at his concert.
Now, the organisers of AR Rahman’s concert issued an apology and took full responsibility for whatever happened on Sunday at the venue. The organisers wrote, “Grateful to Chennai and the legendary @arrahman Sir! The incredible response, the overwhelming crowd made our show a massive success. Those who couldn't attend on overcrowding, Our sincere apologies. We take full responsibility and accountable. We are with you. #MarakkumaNenjam.”

However, netizens didn’t accept the apology and slammed the AR Rahman team. One of the social media users wrote, “A half-assed bullshit apology is all we get after you failed to do any organization & had 0 safety measures all because you wanted to make profits? People were injured, suffocated & molested. YOU ARE TO BLAME. ur going to pay for ur greed. REFUND EVERYONE AND APOLOGIZE PROPERLY.”
The second one said, “Hello Mr @arrahman as a multi millionaire.. you need not to refund a single penny. Atleast take the moral responsibility and speak through the video, instead of writing couple of lines in your twitter page. Kindly wake up. It is already 10 AM in chennai.”
The third one said, “Overcrowding has happened. What was the capacity of the venue and how many tickets were sold. Was there emergency setup at location like ambulance or crowd control. Do not play with people's lives. Now what is the action taken to compensate the fans.”
On Sunday, AR Rahman held a concert 'Marakuma Nenjam' at Chennai’s Adityaram Palace. However, a stampede-like situation occurred when reportedly around 50,000 people came to attend the concert.
The videos from his concert are now going viral on social media. In the viral clips, netizens can be heard claiming that women have been molested, and children have been injured at the concert. =
