Thailand, formerly known as Siam, is a well-known nation in South East Asia.

Though their primary religion is Buddhism, the people of Thailand also revere Hindu gods.

For centuries, Hindu gods and goddesses have been worshipped as part of Thai rituals.

Garuda, Thailand's national symbol, is connected to Lord Vishnu, the deity long thought to be the country's king.

Furthermore, Thailand is home to a large number of statues and temples dedicated to Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu.

Despite Buddhism being the predominant religion, Lord Ganesha is also worshipped by many Thai people, and there are numerous temples devoted to him.

There are reportedly over 52,000 Hindus living in Thailand, and there are 95 Hindu temples in total.

Hindu-Buddhist syncretism, the practice of worshipping both Hindu and Buddhist deities, is common in Thailand.

Thailand now has a distinct cultural and religious identity as a result of these two religions coexisting there.
