RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that tragically sank on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City on April 15, 1912.

Titanic was built by the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and was one of the largest and most luxurious ships of its time.

Construction of the Titanic began in March 1909 and was completed in March 1912.

Titanic was deemed unsinkable due to its advanced design and safety features, including watertight compartments and a double-bottom hull

Tragedy struck when the ship struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean, causing it to sink within hours.

Sinking of the Titanic resulted in the deaths of more than 1,500 people, making it one of the deadliest maritime disasters in history.

Sinking of the Titanic led to significant changes in maritime safety regulations, including the requirement for ships to carry enough lifeboats for all passengers and crew

Titanic's tragic story has captured the public's imagination for over a century, inspiring numerous books, films, and documentaries
