FS Tau A, the bright star-like object near the centre of the image, and FS Tau B (Haro 6-5B), the bright object to the far right obscured by a dark, vertical lane of dust, make up the multi-star system known as FS Tau.

It includes the relatively nearby star-forming region known as IRAS 16562-3959, which is located in the Scorpius constellation 5,900 light-years away from Earth within the Milky Way.

Located in the constellation Virgo, the dwarf galaxy is roughly 7 million light-years away from Earth. The galaxy in question is deemed "irregular" due to its lack of an elliptical or orderly spiral shape.

The Arp-Madore 2339-661 galaxy pair is an interacting system. The Arp-Madore catalogue is a sample of unusual galaxies; the peculiarity of this particular group may be more bizarre than it first appears, since three galaxies, not just two, are interacting.

The image displays the region G35.2-0.7N in the constellation Aquila, which is located about 7,200 light-years away from Earth. It is well known that high-mass star formation is occurring in G35.2-0.7N.

The dazzling star BD+17 2217. Astronomers surmise that Arp 263, also called NGC 3239, is a ragged-looking galaxy that resulted from the merger of two galaxies. It is a patchy, irregular galaxy studded with regions of recent star formation.

One of the jellyfish galaxies Hubble has been studying for the past two years is JW39, which hangs peacefully in this picture. It is located in the constellation Coma Berenices, over 900 million light-years away.

The galaxy is located in the constellation Sextans, nearly 600 million light-years away. As part of a survey to learn more about star formation in harsh environments, Hubble made the observation of JO204.

The globular star cluster NGC 2419 is visible with the Hubble Space Telescope. Beautiful and fascinating at the same time are globular clusters. These are round clusters of stars circling a galaxy's centre; in the case of NGC 2419, that galaxy is the Milky Way.

The tenuous disc of the irregular spiral galaxy NGC 5486 is woven with pink slivers of star formation that contrast with the diffuse glow of the galaxy's bright core. The galaxy is hung against a background of dimness.
