Here are the eight biggest railway stations in India

Howrah Junction (HWH) is India's largest station, with 23 platforms serving more than 280 trains per day. Originally built in 1854, this green metro station has been electrified since 1954.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT): located in Mumbai and dating back a century, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has eighteen platforms with neo-gothic architecture.

Chennai Central Railway Station (MAS):The busiest railway station in South India, formerly known as Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central Railway Station. 

New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS): which has 16 platforms and 18 tracks, is situated close to Connaught Place. It provides daily service to 213,000 passengers via about 235 trains.

Ahmedabad Junction (ADI): is a highly profitable location operated by Western Railways. It offers amenities like restrooms, elevators, and a VIP lounge. It has 12 platforms and 16 tracks.

Kharagpur Junction Railway Station (KGP): in West Bengal is well-known for its elongated platform. With 24 tracks and 12 platforms, it can accommodate 256 trains every day.

Gorakhpur Junction Railway Station (GKP): which has 10 platforms and 28 tracks, there is one of the biggest platforms in the world. It manages about 190 trains every day.

Kanpur Central (CNB): Among the biggest stations in India, which has 28 tracks and 10 platforms. Established in 1930, this bustling hub operates more than 400 trains every day.
