Although the conventional work hours run between 9 am to 5 pm, it is often seen that we are left with fewer hours to ourselves.

A study led by the financial securities company UBS, in this context, revealed the shortest and the longest working hours clocked by cities around the world.

While Paris came up to a reasonable 35 hours a week, Hong Kong and Mumbai were some of the high-pressure zones, with average working hours of about 50 and 43 each week, respectively.

India had two cities on the list, the second one being New Delhi with 42 hours per week.

Paris' work culture had attracted a lot of attention globally with the reforms pushing for restrictions on work-related calls and emails, and on overtime work.
