Nepal Prez Bidhya Devi Bhandari performs Chhath Puja rituals in Kathmandu

Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari performed rituals during Chhath Puja in Nepal’s Kathmandu on November 03. She offered prayers on the final day of Chhath Puja and participated in the celebration process of Chhath Mahaparv. Several devotees offered their final prayers to the rising sun on the final day of Chhath Puja. Thousands of devotees thronged to banks of river bodies to offer prayers to the ‘Sun God’. Chhath Puja is celebrated on the sixth day of Kartik month of Hindu calendar. Every year, the festival commences with paying obeisance to the setting sun and concludes with the rising sun.
