Zouk is a form of music and dance originally from Brazil, but it also brought the world together in the form of co-ordinated flash mobs on World Peace Day on September 21.
International Zouk Flash Mob (IZFM) has been organising flash mobs since the past two years in various countries with the view to unite people over the world through dance. This year, an estimated 10,000 participants from 44 countries and 126 cities registered for the International Zouk Flash Mob 2014 as part of IZFM’s World Peace Day & the United Nations supported Peace One Day initiative. Participants around the world performed a Renata Popis and Michal Matelak choreographed dance to the song by Paulo Mac, on the same day, in various locations over the world.

The Mumbai team of IZFM performed on September 21 in different parts of the city like Marine Drive, Santa Cruz airport and a few malls. The IZFM Mumbai team was trained and choreographed by Dance Villa Productions, a traditional Zouk Dance Institute in Mumbai.
The International Zouk Flash Mob, has been performing across the world every year on World Peace day since 2012, with one motive: unite the world and spread the message of peace through Zouk dance, popularly known as the dance of love.
