DUBAI: Nearly 50 Indian workers sitting on a month-long strike in Doha have approached the Indian embassy there, seeking its intervention in releasing their long pending salary.

Over 200 workers of Qatar-based construction company went on a strike last month, complaining that the company denied their salary for more than five months.

Indian Ambassador George Joseph and senior embassy officials on Wednesday held detailed discussions with the striking workers.
