The eye-catching gold bracelet that Kate Middletone was seen flaunting in public twice this week, was gifted to her by none other than her new stepmother-in-law Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, it has been revealed.

The treasured gold bracelet is testimony to the growing bond between them, reports the Daily Express.

Kate had it on her right wrist while presenting medals to the Irish guards at Windsor on Saturday and again when she and her husband watched Andy Murray triumph at Wimbledon on Monday.

The bracelet has been much admired and discussed by royal watchers and public alike.

A source close to the young couple revealed it was a wedding gift, but then added to the intrigue by hastily insisting: “We’re not saying from whom, as it was a personal wedding gift. It’s a private matter.”

The bracelet bears a single charm engraved with the new Duchess’s personal royal cypher, the letter C with a curl for Catherine topped with a coronet.

On the reverse side of the charm is Camilla’s royal cypher, a C without a curl beneath a coronet.
