Michelle Obama, who has been nominated for a Grammy Award for her spoken-word reading of American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America, has revealed her favourite songs.

She said that she likes to listen to Jill Scott’s Golden with her daughters Malia and Sasha, adding that she used to play it in the car when she drove the girls to school each morning and they used to sing it together, People magazine reported.

Michelle shared that she likes to listen to Whip My Hair by Willow Smith and Beyonce’s Move Your Body, while working out.

The First Lady counted Ledisi’s Bravo, as the song that helped her relax, she used to listen to it in the car before campaign rallies as it both calmed her down and helped her focus.

Michelle said that she liked to listen to Stevie Wonder’s Ebony and Ivory, as it was the song that she sang with the legendary musician during one of his concerts while she was in college

The song Talking Book by the same singer is also one of her favourites as it reminded her of her home, she said.

She added that she also liked to listen to Frank Ocean’s debut album Channel Orange and Kelly Clarkson Stronger.
