Royal Wedding: Prince Charles to walk Meghan Markle down the aisle

Britain's Prince Charles will walk Meghan Markle down the aisle for her wedding with Prince Harry on May 19th, Kensington Palace announced today.

The announcement came a day after royal bride-to-be Markle confirmed that her father will not attend her wedding with Prince Harry in Windsor Castle tomorrow. 
Markle asked Prince Charles to carry out the responsibility when she marries Prince Harry at St George's Chapel, Kensington Palace said in a tweet.

The 36-year-old former American actress said her father Thomas Markle Sr needed to focus on his health, confirming media reports that he had to undergo a heart procedure. In an official statement, bride-to-be said, “Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding.I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.” She further added, “I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday.”

Preparations are in full swing for the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Markle as hundreds of British armed forces officers took to the streets of Windsor to rehearse their roles this weekend.

The royal couple will be doing a tour of the city centre of Windsor, around 41 kms from London, in a traditional horse-driven Ascot Landau carriage after Prince Harry, 33 and Markle, 36, tie the knot at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.
